History

The Practice Management Club was founded in 1987 by two local dentists, Dr. Rick Weigand and Dr. Randy Otterholt.  They were both fairly new to town, and were both building their dental practices.  They found that they had similar challenges, and so they would meet to share their dental practice experiences.

Before long, word of these meetings got around, and other dentists were asking to join the meetings.  Soon it had evolved into a formal dental study group, with 18 member dentists.

The group has been meeting on the first Tuesday of the month ever since.  The members take turns rotating through the Presidency and Vice-Presidency on an annual basis.

The agenda for each meeting is set by the current President.

Members of the study club have also formed a Cross-Coverage Group.  If one of the member dentists becomes disabled or dies, the other members will work in the stricken dentist's office, and make sure that the patients are being cared for until the situation is resolved.
